  1. Would be interested to hear their account of reception conditions. I found the medium wave band extremely noisy, presumably from the Island’s diesel generating network.

    • Terje Nielsen also said it was very noisy when he was there last year. When my wife and I were there in 1985, it was not noisy and conditions even on a transistor radio were fantastic. See Radio from Raro article. i would guess conditions in 1977 were much the same.
